Fun Monday 02.04.08

This week's Fun Monday is hosted by Tiggerlane.

The Rules:

Have you heard of The Bucket List? Well, that's what I want from you! Make a list of things you want to do before you die. It must be at least five items - and you can make it as long as you desire. Photos are optional. And let's hear about some of the wackiest, most bizarre to-do's on your Bucket List!

Robocop's Bucket List

1. Restore my gun collection to its former glory, and then expand it.
2. Get a job that has weekends off.
3. Travel to The Holy Land with the family.
4. Travel to Rome with the wife only.
5. To not just survive from paycheck to paycheck.
6. Be right with The Lord.
7. Actually own a home.
8. To make a difference in someone's life.
9. Win the lottery.
10. Learn how to make boots.
11. I want to be an extra in a Star Trek movie.
12. Kick a Hippy male in the junk to see if it would effect him.
13. Raise my children to be politically incorrect.
14. Spend a month in the Smithsonian.

I am sure this list will grow as I think of more items to add.

wouldnt it be nice if all of us won the lottery?

That is a good list. I am sure you have accomplished 8. As for 6, you have likely done that as well, with it being your desire, and something you work on, you are likely there. Funny how your list resembles Sirdar's in some ways. Weekends off is great. Fun to be an extra in a Star Trek movie. Winning the lottery would help to make the others happen.

That is a very eclectic list. I think the lottery would work for all of us.

win the lottery. yep!

I love your list. Strangely, I've always wanted to learn how to make boots too.

If you have kids, you have already made a difference. A huge difference!

Thanks for your kind comment on my post.

Mainly do-able list, the lottery win might be hard to organize.

If EVERYONE won the lottery, there wouldn't be much to go around (see "Bruce Almighty")...

And a month for the Smithsonian? I think you would have to plan for a lot longer than that!

oooh. I am so politically incorrect. Great list!

The thing with #8 is, you probably already have made a difference in someone's life, you just don't know it. As for an extra in a Star Trek movie, make sure and let us all know so we can watch you!

Great list! I'd love to win the lottery but I need to play first!! I bet you have accomplished 6 and 8 for sure! #11 made me LOL! I would also love to be able to do #5! I also think you might need more than a month at the Smithsonian.

My list would like to grow as I read other's lists. Only got one lifetime. I remember when I visited Washington, D.C. I told my kids if I had another life to live I would like to live in D.C. So much to see and such a different life than I have. I wouldn't want to do my life over...I'm just saying if it were possible to have lived another life. Which it is not! Ha ha.

I'm thinking I might just want to live at the Smithsonian for a year or so. I can just switch buildings when I'm done with each one...and then start over again once I've seen them all.

Heaven!

I couldn't spend a month in the Smithsonian but I could spend it next door at the National Portrait Gallery. We could meet in between for refreshments and potty breaks.

Remind me to stay on your good side (#1) and I like the idea of not having to live pay check to pay check and owning a house and .. .well you have a lot of good things on your list. :)

I like your list. Especially the with/without kids list. I definitely have my vacations broken down like that in my head.

cool list, not having weekends off is NOT good. Hope you get your dreams.

okay - now that they are making more Star Trek movies you just mike be able to achieve that...only it wouldn't be with the original crew. (I've always been a closet Trekkie)

I am so with you on number 5 and number 7. I'd also like to be able to retire and not have to survive on cat food. (Although, in Ireland, prescription medication is free for everyone over 65, so at least I'll be able to afford the really nice cat food. :))

Ah the elusive lottery. I think your lottery is much bigger than ours in the UK.
I had to google Smithsonian! Hope you get to do some of these things!

You have some more unusual items on your list. Learn how to make boots? If my grandfather were still alive, he could teach you. He was a cobbler in his day. A one-legged cobbler who learned about making shoes because his mean stepmother made him wear the other shoe once one had worn out.

I've been to the Holy Land and would highly recommend it. It was an incredible experience. I was there 3 days after Christmas one year.

Great list!

I'm lucky I guess...I've never had a job where I had to work weekends. I like your travel plans. Number 5 hits home for me. I have a home but the bank still owns it...for now :-)

Hope you get to do your Bucket List!!

in the junk? I guess I'll figure out what that is from the context.

And I want to be in a Star Trek Movie, too. But I don't want to have to dress like Deanna Troy....It just would be wrong.

Fun list!! The lottery thing would be nice!!

I am SO working on your #5 - but I've already accomplished #13, and boy, can it make life tough. Thanks for participating!

Linda said...

Well, I can see from your profession why you might want to kick a hippy, but maybe you would give a few the benefit of doubt and spare us?

Make boots - hmmmm, that's interesting.

I'm with you on the Star Trek movie.

bichonpawz said...

Great list! I'm with you on some of them. Yeah...definitely try for the weekends off thing. And the Lottery Win - We'd ALL love that!
